The first chapter in my book is named after “The Republic”, by Plato. He always fascinated me in a way that no other philosopher could. I also greatly agree with him.

“Zibaldone”, by Leopardi, is more for my character Elara. Of course, it’s a phenomenal read, but it’s too pessimistic for me. I prefer the less disheartening ones.

“The Bell Jar”, by Sylvia Plath is the truth. It explores identity, societal expectations and ambition. This book made me want to break out of the structure we live in.

These books are merely suggestions for those who want to understand themselves and existence more. Philosophers have so many opinions on so many topics, and these two, compelled me to write my book in the first place.

You might find that they have the answers to a few questions you have, or they have the answers to the questions you have never even thought of.
